Family Farm Apartments offer accommodation in the heart of Durmitor National Park. Wood and stone elements of all our units combined with traditional Montenegrin household items and fireplace make a very cosy and pleasant atmosphere. In the meantime modern utilities give necessary comfort of your stay at our place. You are also welcome to have meals at Family Farm restaurant, Grandma's kitchen. Traditional recipes, locally grown products, big portions that keep up the pace with the activities that Durmitor offers. Possible B&B or half board service.
Fantastic location of Family Farm overlooking Jezerska visoravan (the Lake plateau) and Durmitor mountain is at only 350 meters from the main ski resort Savin kuk. The Farm is at 5 km from the town center, the nearest shop (for now) at 4 km.The village, in which area Family Farm is placed, is called Virak (vir - the spring of water, therefrom this village got its name). Here you will have all the peace and quiet you need, and it’s just five minutes ride from the nearest town Zabljak.
When you settle in one of our cozy units, you will have plenty on your mind about what to do, where to start from... We are here for you to help with suggestions and organize numerous activities. Rafting, jeep tour, canyoning, bikes rental, ski instructor help and equipment rental for winter guests...you name it :) You are welcome to book before arrival as well. Just leave it all to us and enjoy your holiday!

In 5 minutes walk from Family Farm Apartments there is a ski centre Savin kuk on the slopes of the eponymous mountain peak. Its highest point is at 2,313 m above sea level and elevation is 700 m. Read more
National Park Durmitor lays home to Tara Canyon the second deepest canyon in the world, at 1300m, a sight that is not to be missed. Tara River, referred to as the ‘The tear of Europe’ with its blue/green crystal waters, unpolluted and full of life stretches a length 140km through Montenegro and parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina. is one of the more relaxed activities in Durmitor National Park but spectacular in beauty and scenery. Tara truly is one of Montenegro’s most wonderful destination. A day rafting trip is filled with a visit to Djurdjevica Tara Bridge, Ljutica River (the shortest and fastest river in Europe), a swim in the water and a lavish domestic lunch. Read more
"Wir waren zwei Nächte bei Elena und ihrer Familie und sind mehr als zufrieden. Die Unterkunft ist wie beschrieben und das Häuschen ist urig, aber geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Das Bad ist eher klein, aber es hat alles was man braucht, sogar bei Bedarf eine Waschmaschine. Abends hat man die Möglichkeit gemütlich vor dem Kamin zu sitzen. Das gesamte Haus ist außerordentlich sauber. Wir haben zwei mal in Grandma's Kitchen zu Abend gegessen und einmal gefrühstückt. Alle Mahlzeiten waren unfassbar lecker und wir würden jedem empfehlen, diese Möglichkeit zu nutzen. Das Beste und Schönste ist jedoch, dass die gesamte Familie sehr zuvorkommend und außerordentlich gastfreundlich ist. Abgerundet wird das Gesamtpaket durch die tolle Landschaft und sehr ruhige Umgebung, die einen vollends abschalten lässt. Sollten wir erneut nach Montenegro reisen, werden wir wohl mehr als die zwei Nächte einplanen und können die Unterkunft nur weiterempfehlen. Hatten eine tolle Zeit - Danke! ☺︎"

"Notre séjour chez Elena était parfait. Elena et Ratko sont des hôtes très acceuillants et aux petits soins. L'hébergement était conforme à nos attentes est idéalement situé a proximité du Parc du Durmitor. Nous avons pu profiter de la Grandma's kitchen proposé par nos hôtes, une cuisine locale riche et généreuse. Je recommande sans hésiter pour tous les amoureux de nature et d'authenticité. "First of all, WOW we loved this place! Elena, Slavica and Ratko are the best hosts - so kind and friendly. Their place is an excellently presented cabin comfortably sleeping four with a cosy living area, dining table and - the major highlight - a porch bench overlooking the hills for watching sunrise, having breakfast or a beer in the evening. Superb location ~10 min drive to Zabljak town and ~15 mins to Bobotov kuk hiking area and Tara river/Curevac. We actually walked to town to see the black lake which made for a lovely hike! The farm is easy to drive to and well sign posted a couple minutes off the main road (no gravel to contend with). We enjoyed the family dinner for two nights of our stay, including generous portions of delicious home cooked food for a very reasonable price (soup, salad, main course, sides, dessert and beer/wine/home made brandy). We couldn’t recommend this place more for a summer stay in Durmitor!"

"Wow! Das Haus ist größer, als es auf den Bildern aussieht. Die Gegend ist wunderschön, der Blick fantastisch. Der Sessellift ist gleich um die Ecke, Schwarzer See und Teufelssee sind nur wenige Fahrminuten entfernt. Die besten Cevapi hatten wir im Restaurant Krcma Nostalgija in Zabljak. Elena, Ratko und ihre Familie sind sehr gastfreundlich, das angebotene Essen schmeckt super. Die Kinder haben die Tiere geliebt, wir waren traurig, als wir abreisen mussten."
